That One Piece

What’s that one piece for you?

Every woman has that one piece. The one you wear everyday or only on special occasions. The one that has the best story behind it. The one you will never get rid of. The one you pass down to your daughter. For me that one piece is a pair of vintage Weiss earrings I got from an estate sale.

I was not really on the the hunt for anything on that particular day, just browsing but when I saw them I knew I had to have them. I went in like a ninja, grabbed them off the table and held on to them for dear life. I quickly went to pay for them and literally for the rest of the day, I stared at them. It would be another 2 years before I actually wore them for a ball I was attending, but when I took them out out for their debut, they got plenty of oooh and awws.

This is a piece I will wear on my wedding day, the piece I will pass on to my future daughter. The piece I will never get rid of.

In looking for more pieces that I can add to my collection, I was introduced to Invaluable, an online auction site that allows you bid on tons of jewelry items at a fraction of the price. In browsing thru the carefully curated list of items up for sale, I came across the vintage jewelry section and I was blown away!!
